Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse in Colorado Springs This position involves providing specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients within a 16-bed unit. The role requires delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing services while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Location: Colorado Springs (within a 50-mile radius rule)
• Shift: 12-hour days, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 4 days or less of total scheduled time with availability for 2 of the 3 holidays during the assignment
• Required Qualifications: BSN, active Colorado RN License or Compact RN License, 2+ years of PICU experience, previous travel experience, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC and ACLS certifications
• Additional Information:
  • Must be available to work 2 of the 3 holidays and observe the blackout dates: 11/25-11/27, 12/23-12/26, 12/30-1/2
  • No on-call requirements; can be canceled every 4 weeks
  • Worked observed holidays if within the contract period; no requested time off approved during the first two weeks
  • Orientation includes general hospital, PICU, med-surg, and NICU orientations, totaling 1 day plus 6 hours each for PICU, med-surg, and NICU
  • Documentation system uses Peds Connect (EPIC)
  • Unit requires flexibility to work in NICU, Pediatric Med-Surg, and Emergency Department settings (Helping Hands)
