Job Title: RN Supervisor

Duration: 22 to 26-week contracts, must run through holidays
Shift: Full-Time Evenings
Hours per Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (5x8s, Every Other Weekend)
Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care with supervisor/clinical lead experience over multiple units (charge-only experience not accepted)
License: Current Client Registered Professional Nurse licensure
Certifications: BLS required through AHA or RQI system
Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing
Demonstrated excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills
Computer literacy
Ability to collaborate effectively with medical staff, department managers, ancillary services, and customers in a professional and courteous manner
Description: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in accordance with established policies and procedures, oversees the operation of the nursing units. Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to various nursing units. Assures quality resident care through teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts. Communicates with the Director of Nursing regarding identified and potential unit problems and collaborates to resolve issues. Contacts the Director of Nursing during off hours for critical issues requiring resolution and leaves appropriate communication at work for all other items. Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator within the identified scope of responsibility. Demonstrates the ability to manage self professionally in stressful situations. Facilitates clinical management and works effectively under pressure. Meets deadlines, manages multiple priorities, and enhances the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements is preferred. Models, exemplifies, and leads in accordance with Healing Environment principles, ensuring safety and promoting dignity and respect. Demonstrates skills in managing occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
