Project Manager INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II $8,625.00 - $11,905.00 per Month New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: 10/16/2026 Are you passionate about technical project management? ODI is looking for a project manager to oversee critical projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing projects, ensuring project deliverables, managing resources, and overseeing communication with stakeholders, the team, executive management and control agencies. The following includes the key duties and/or responsibilities of the Project Manager position: Defines and manages project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, resources, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle. Plans, implements, and coordinates project activities with internal and/or external stakeholders, oversight agencies and vendor teams. Develops and maintains project plans and establishes methods for tracking milestones, deliverables, risks, decisions, and overall project progress; communicates project status and areas requiring attention to project leadership and stakeholders. Manages the working relationships and collaboration between project leadership, agency, department directorate, business partners, and stakeholders. Identifies and manages project risks, issues, and changes that may impact scope, schedule, resources, or deliverables and works with project teams and leadership to determine appropriate mitigation or resolution strategies. The employee’s workstation is located in Sacramento, Oakland, Los Angeles, and/or San Diego, CA. Travel to the Sacramento headquarters may be required as needed. Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate: Knowledge of industry-standard project tracking software Experience defining project responsibilities with stakeholders Experience developing and implementing project communication plans and stakeholder engagement strategies Experience maintaining project time frames, budget estimates and status reports Experience defining and managing project scope, objectives, deliverables, and schedules in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders Experience ensuring all activities are performed in a manner consistent with documented processes Experience developing plans to mitigate risks Experience working successfully with cross-functional teams Ability to analyze project needs and develop effective project management processes and procedures. Ability to participate in project budget and staff allocation Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
