This entry‑level opportunity provides hands‑on experience in food safety, HACCP compliance, environmental monitoring, and quality systems. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build practical experience in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. Key Responsibilities Assist with environmental swabbing (ATP, ACC, Listeria) Support HACCP monitoring and verification activities Participate in pre‑operational inspections Assist with product sampling and documentation Review Certificates of Analysis (CofAs) Enter QA data into spreadsheets and internal systems Support label verification and product hold/release processes Participate in internal audits and quality improvement projects Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related program Basic understanding of HACCP and GMPs (asset) Strong attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working in a cold production environment Reliable transportation required Working Conditions Early start times Cold manufacturing environment Physically active roles (standing, walking, inspections) Who We Are: Sofina Foods is one of Canada's leading manufacturers of primary and further processed protein products for retail and foodservice customers as well as international markets.
