Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) responds to medical emergencies and delivers patient care, support, and medical evaluation in a community setting, and during transport to the hospital. This care typically includes assessing the patient, determining the proper emergency care, stabilizing the patient and administering treatment. EMTs also help with transporting patients safely between hospitals and care facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current BLS card. ACLS/PALS per contract requirement.
• Certified/Licensed per State Requirement and/or Contract Requirement or Proof of Certification from an approved EMT Certification Program.
• Driver's License within the state of accomplished practice.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
