Pediatric Urologist

Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) are seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist to join their expanding Section of Urology. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing academic and clinical program in Southwest Virginia, with the goal of establishing an independent department and a urology residency training program. The role involves primarily seeing patients at Carilion Children's Tanglewood Center and operating at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, which is a Level 1 trauma center. Practice Info The Section of Urology is expanding its academic and clinical urological missions in Southwest Virginia. The Carilion Clinic adult and pediatric urology programs were both founded in 2023. The pediatric urology team is comprised of a surgeon, a physician assistant/associate (PA), and a dedicated nurse, medical assistant, and administrative coordinator. The program primarily sees patients at the Carilion Children's Tanglewood Center, a multi-specialty outpatient pediatric clinic with 17 specialties, child life specialists, and a lab. The surgeon and PA operate primarily at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH), which has 24 pediatric inpatient beds, 8 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) beds, and 60 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds. The team also operates at an ambulatory surgery center (Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital) and satellite operating room (Carilion New River Valley Medical Center).
