Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Maternity/Labor & Delivery position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• Work in the Maternity/Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Full-time night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Occasional weekend shifts required
• 8-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS/BCLS, NRP, PALS, and C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to perform heavy work, exerting 50-100 lbs of force occasionally and 25-50 lbs frequently
• Ability to handle frequent patient handling activity

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Supervise and direct the work of Nursing Assistants (NAs) in a professional manner
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available and report malfunctions as needed
• Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate documentation of nursing care
