Infrastructure Technician

Job SummaryThe Infrastructure Technician keeps our fiber and wireless network alive and well. Our sites live in some unforgettable places — mountaintops, commercial rooftops, residential roofs — and getting to them is half the job. One day you're climbing a tower, the next you're hiking gear deep into the woods, and plenty of days you're racking up the miles with your crew, sharing the misery and the good stories from the truck. No two days look the same, and that's exactly how we like it. This is a hands-on, physical, field-based role for someone who'd rather be out solving problems than sitting behind a desk.Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (days don't always go as planned, so hours may run later)On-Call: Required rotation, approximately one week per month, beginning after 90 days.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain and service fiber and wireless network sites across the company's coverage areaClimb and build communication towersAim and align wireless backhaul linksInstall and maintain DC and AC UPS systemsRun and terminate Cat 6 and fiber optic cablingInstall access points and business point-to-point linksPerform work safely at height on towers, pitched roofs, and flat roofsTravel to and access remote sites, including driving in mountainous terrain and hiking to site locationsPerform basic troubleshooting of network and site equipmentParticipate in the on-call rotation after the initial 90-day periodWork independently and keep yourself productive once the training wheels come offRequired QualificationsComfortable working at heights — this one's non-negotiableExperience operating power toolsBasic technical knowledgeValid driver's licenseAbility to lift 50 lbs repeatedlyComfortable working on both pitched and flat roofsAbility to work long and variable hoursA self-starter who doesn't need to be told what to do nextAbility to walk or hike long distances, at times while carrying up to 50 lbs of gearPreferred QualificationsTower climbing experienceRigging experienceLadder experienceBasic troubleshooting skillsTowing experienceATV operation experienceKnowledge of electrical systemsKnowledge of DC power plant systemsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentLet's be straight: this job is physical. You'll be on your feet, climbing towers and ladders, hiking long distances over rough and uneven terrain, and hauling up to 50 lbs of gear — sometimes all in the same day. Work happens outdoors in every kind of weather, at remote sites that can take real driving and hiking just to reach.
