Key Responsibilities of the RN - Interventional Radiology

• Perform interventional radiology procedures such as angioplasty and carotid stenting
• Conduct upper and lower extremity angiographies
• Manage dysrhythmias and assess pressure ulcers
• Remove and monitor sheaths and utilize vascular closure systems
• Ensure radiation and laser safety
• Apply the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale effectively

Requirements of the RN - Interventional Radiology

• 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and IR
• ACLS & BLS certifications
• Experience with EPIC required
