Structural Analysis Engineer

Reference: 85347-368293GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:Join the Engineering Analysis group at KRATOS C5ISR. Here we develop modular shelter systems for military applications, as well as the associated ground support equipment. The role will be to utilize engineering analysis from hand calculations to simulation tools to drive to a successful design that our customers can have confidence will work as intended out-of-the-box. This will include modifying previous shelter designs or starting from a blank sheet. The day may include load development, finite element analysis (FEA), sizing, dynamic evaluations, and thermal calculations. This position may be filled at multiple levels depending on the applicant’s experience level.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Acts as the Structural Analysis Engineer for simple and complex projects as assigned.Manages effort and time within the budget and schedule provided for the task.Understands customer requirements and prepares designs in accordance with customer and derived requirements.Prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. analysis reports, analysis procedures, etc.).Prepares and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers.Ensures customer satisfaction in relation to projects.Supports system testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution.Supports customer testing, data reduction, analysis, and reporting.Works with test engineers to validate models within test plans and reports.Follows safety precautions.Ensures that the work area and equipment are kept clean.Complies with established quality management system (QMS) procedures.Supports business development efforts both in preparation of quotes and proposals as well as sales efforts, as assigned.Other duties may be assigned.BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance CoverageLife/ADD & Short/Long Term Disability Insurance401(k) Savings PlanEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Paid Time-Off (PTO)HolidaysEducation Reimbursement
