Livestock Evaluation Program Coordinator/Lecturer

Job Title Livestock Evaluation Program Coordinator Department Department of Animal Sciences, College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences Position Overview Position: 12‑month Lecturer with teaching emphasis focused on livestock evaluation approaches. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses, providing student advising, coaching the Ohio State Livestock Judging team, collaborating on youth extension programming, and managing funding for team activities. Responsibilities Advance livestock evaluation programming Coach the Ohio State University Livestock Evaluation team Teach up to 8 credit hours of undergraduate courses per year Advise undergraduate students Work collaboratively with faculty and staff in extension programming with a focus on youth extension programs Demonstrate an ability to cultivate inclusive learning environments Provide oversight and strategic utilization of funding in support of team activities and identify new revenue streams Represent the department, college, university, and professional communities through industry engagement Required Qualifications M.S. in animal sciences or a related discipline Evidence of effective teaching practice in livestock evaluation and judging Excellent verbal and written communication skills and willingness and ability to work closely with diverse groups of academic (students, staff, faculty) and industry audiences Demonstrated interest in and/or experience with teaching, recruiting, mentoring, and advising students Desired Qualifications P.h.D. in animal sciences Industry experience Location Animal Science Building (0156), Columbus, Ohio Employment Type Regular, 40 hours per week, First Shift Additional Information Evening and weekend travel is required.
