About the Role:
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that cater to their dietary needs. This position involves working closely with the kitchen staff and healthcare team to prepare and serve meals while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. The Dietary Aide will also assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining environment, which is essential for the well-being of residents. By following written and oral instructions, the Dietary Aide contributes to the overall satisfaction and health of the residents. Ultimately, this role is vital in promoting a positive dining experience and supporting the nutritional goals of the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in food service or dietary settings preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in food safety or sanitation.
- Previous experience working in assisted living or healthcare environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure that all food service areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Follow written and oral instructions from supervisors regarding meal preparation and dietary restrictions.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and healthcare professionals to meet the nutritional needs of residents.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' eating habits or preferences to the appropriate team members.
