Mammography Tech - Full Time

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Mammo Tech for a permanent role with an area healthcare client where you'll perform specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in patients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting prior to start.
• Demonstrated ability to perform mammography imaging consistent with FDA guidelines and departmental protocols.
• Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS preferred.
• Preferred: Two (2) years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in other modalities such as CT, MRI, or DEXA.

Role Summary and Key Duties:

• Perform diagnostic mammography procedures and related breast imaging exams according to department protocols or radiologist instructions.
• Provide patient education, obtain informed consent, and verify patient identification prior to exams.
• Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA standards.
• Maintain daily QA, preventative maintenance scheduling, and structured reporting for audit and accreditation requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and contact service engineers when needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, charges, and documentation in the EHR.
• Coordinate training and development for breast imaging staff. Assist with cross-training efforts.
• Support clerical duties, phone coverage, and patient transport when required.
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory for the women's health section of radiology.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and required annual education.

Work Environment and Expectations:

• Position supports the daily operation of the women's health section of radiology within a hospital setting.
• Must follow organizational policies regarding attire, confidentiality, infection control, safety, and risk management.
• Demonstrates initiative, the ability to work independently, and punctual completion of assigned duties.
• Flexibility required to assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, and cover call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed.
