Operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and other equipment across commercial construction, utilities, civil works, and road and infrastructure projects. This role supports safe, productive jobsites through equipment inspections, material handling, grading, excavation, and close coordination with equipment managers, project managers, foremen, and site superintendents. Assignments are primarily local, with occasional regional travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as assigned.
• Complete pre-start inspections and identify equipment concerns before operation.
• Handle and position materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform site grading and excavation work according to project requirements.
• Manage loads while maintaining equipment stability and worksite safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive equipment care.
• Follow worksite safety requirements and maintain situational awareness.
• Coordinate activities with project managers, foremen, site superintendents, and other crew members.
• Maintain a clean, organized worksite through regular cleanup.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy equipment operation or construction training.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• OSHA equipment safety certification.
• Experience operating excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
• Experience with equipment inspections, site grading, blueprint reading, and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of worksite safety practices.
• Strong situational awareness and teamwork skills.
