Job Title Head Custodian Salary Grade $22.26 - $23.97 per hour Work Year 198 days Status Nonexempt Department Facilities and Maintenance Reports To Director of Facilities Management Overview Clear Creek School District (CCSD) in Colorado is committed to creating a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Cleans assigned areas of the facility, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, common areas, and grounds. Vacuum and clean floors. Assist with snow removal from walkways and other areas. Set up for groups and special events, or activities by staff or outside usage. Perform general maintenance tasks related to the upkeep and operation of the facility. Oversee the general security of the facility during regular shifts. Maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies, and order supplies as needed. Assist with coordination of events. Supervise duties of other custodians at building level. Maintain, review, and approve payroll records and attendance/leave requests for building custodians. Oversee job performance and perform evaluations of custodians assigned to the building. Perform other duties as requested. Education and Training High School Diploma or GED required. Experience Less than one (1) year of job‑related experience. Expectations Is flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules. Works cooperatively with supervisors and co‑workers. Follows oral and written instructions with minimal supervision. Communicates effectively with the school, district community, and the public at large. Meets attendance standards and works the hours required to perform essential functions. Maintains a generally positive attitude and observes all district policies and procedures. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Valid driver's license. Work Environment The job exposes the employee to wet, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, vibration, high precarious places, and moderate noise levels. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, use hands to manipulate items, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear regularly. Lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds, and occasionally up to one hundred (100) pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Supervisory Duties Directly supervise building custodial staff.
