Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Oklahoma license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main and no current placement allowed at Program: Ascension Health Resource and Supply Management Group, LLC (Direct) - Main.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: Claimed residence must match the address on the driver’s license to receive travel rate. Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Pharmacology 1 or 2 exam required prior to start; minimum 80% score; only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Medical Surgical exam required prior to start; minimum 80% score; only 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required prior to start; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score; only 2 attempts allowed. Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation required. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details: Cares for patients of all ages, including some with telemetry orders. Supported by PCTs and a healthcare unit coordinator. Uses virtual sitter monitoring; monitor techs monitor telemetry.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
