Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology

Description This on-site contract opportunity is ideal for an Associate-level physician looking to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a vital role in interpreting imaging studies, supporting referring clinicians, and ensuring accurate and timely radiological assessments for patients. Responsibilities Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and fluoroscopy Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss radiological findings and recommend appropriate follow-up care Ensure timely and accurate completion of radiology reports in accordance with established protocols Maintain strict compliance with medical safety standards, radiation protection guidelines, and regulatory requirements Consult with patients to explain imaging procedures and address any questions or concerns Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives Document all diagnostic findings thoroughly in electronic medical records Coordinate with radiologic technologists and support staff to optimize imaging workflow Stay current with advancements in radiology technology, imaging techniques, and best practices Provide coverage for scheduled shifts and on-call rotations as required by the contract agreement Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certification or board eligibility in Radiology Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Texas Associate-level experience in diagnostic radiology practice Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray Strong diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with referring providers Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team in an on-site environment Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and radiology information systems Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical medical standards Level I Trauma Flexible Schedule: Day, night, swing, and weekend shifts available Beeper call coverage required Total Annual Volume: 364,000 mixed reads Skillsets: DX, IR, or mammo EMR: Epic PACS/RIS: Radiant and Cupid Must be board-certified or board-eligible ACLS and DEArequired Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr 77 consultants
