Composite/Carbon Fiber Test Technician

High school diploma or GED required. A two-year associate degree in Composites Technology is preferred. Basic understanding of carbon fiber and fiberglass prepreg laminate layup definition and ability to layup, fabricate and assemble components to completion. Understanding of processes such as kitting, vacuum bagging, and compression molding. Proven experience working with composite materials, such as carbon fiber or fiberglass prepreg. Experience with composite manufacturing processes, including layup techniques, curing, bonding, and finishing. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for cutting, trimming, and shaping composite materials. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Attention to detail and precision in working with delicate materials and intricate designs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
