Sr Associate IS Analyst - Process Development Labs

Senior Associate IS Analyst supporting laboratory computing platforms and benchtop instruments at Amgen's Thousand Oaks facility. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of lab technology systems, resolving user support requests, coordinating vendor relationships, and developing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage lifecycle of instrument controller software and laboratory computing platforms with the Benchtop Product Team
- Resolve support requests from scientists involving laboratory computers, software upgrades, and system troubleshooting
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain and deploy current controller software, drivers, patches, and packages
- Build and support DEV, TEST, and PROD environments in cloud and on-premises infrastructure settings
- Create documentation and standard operating procedures for lifecycle processes and ServiceNow management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 10–14 years of IT or infrastructure experience, or equivalent education/experience combination
- 3–5 years of systems administration and infrastructure management experience
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, DNS, firewalls, and security protocols
- Experience with AWS, VMware, and scripting for server task automation
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage support requests effectively
- Leadership and organizational skills for managing multiple lifecycle projects
- Troubleshooting expertise with vendors and colleagues on software and hardware issues
