• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $71.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day/Night rotating 3x12 shifts. Day: 7:00 AM7:30 PM; Night: 7:00 PM7:30 AM. Shifts may be variable; if needed to meet operational needs of the hospital, the facility will do its best to honor preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate if necessary.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Step Down (HVTI-Stepdown) unit assignment at a major hospital main campus, with potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population. This is an AUTO OFFER position for 3x12 schedules only.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the HVTI-Stepdown unit.
• Float as needed to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population.
• Work at least every other holiday.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both is required.

Required Skills

• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferable within one location but may be combined).
• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience (travel experience will suffice).
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required.

Education Requirements

• Permanent Ohio RN License or Compact State License must be in hand at time of submission.
• AHA or facility-accepted BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Day/Night rotating shifts (3x12); shift assignment may vary based on operational needs.
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (Medical/Religious Exemptions only).
• Flu vaccination required (Medical/Religious Exemptions only).

Important Notes

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Failure to achieve an acceptable score may impact contract continuation.
