Position: Warehouse Associate- Loader/Unloader Location: Ridgeway, VA Job Id: 1126 # of Openings: 1 The Company: Hooker Furnishings Corporation (NASDAQ: HOFT) is currently recruiting a Warehouse Associate - Loader/Unloader to work in our Ridgeway, VA warehouse operations. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 102nd year of business, is a designer, marketer, and importer of case goods (wood and metal furniture), leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for residential, hospitality, and contract markets. The Position: We are looking for dependable individuals with strong attention to detail to join our warehouse team in Ridgeway, VA . This position will work in various warehouse areas based on business needs and will perform tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping furniture and materials. This role requires the ability to work independently and safely while operating warehouse equipment and handling products. Associates will be cross trained in multiple warehouse functions and are expected to work in different areas based on business needs and operational demands. Responsibilities include: Manually unloading furniture and materials from inbound trucks and containers Loading outbound trucks with products for customer shipments Using an RF scanner and warehouse management system to locate, scan, receive, and process inventory Verifying product quantities and condition during loading and unloading Picking and staging orders for shipment Receiving and putting away inventory in assigned warehouse locations Maintaining accurate inventory through scanning and proper documentation Keeping warehouse areas organized, clean, and safe Participating in cross-training and performing duties across various warehouse functions as needed Supporting other warehouse areas and responsibilities based on business needs and operational demands Candidates that will be a great fit will: Enjoy fast-paced, hands-on work Have reliable and consistent attendance and understand that attendance is essential to the success of the warehouse operation Be able to work on their feet for the entire shift Be comfortable manually unloading trucks and moving furniture products Have experience using RF scanners or warehouse inventory systems Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn Be willing and able to cross-train and perform different warehouse functions as needed Be flexible and willing to move between warehouse areas based on operational needs Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly Why should you apply?
