In this role, you will operate several types of material handling equipment including reach lifts, turret trucks, and cherry pickers in order to put away new stock, pick orders, and prepare customer orders for pick up or shipping. Our Buford distribution center is a multi-shift operation and offers a variety of schedules.Benefits and Perks of being an ISN team member:Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision Package + Company matching Health Savings Account!Free company paid basic group term life insuranceFront-loaded Paid Time Off – 3 weeks available during your first year!401(k) Matching Program7 Paid Company HolidaysRobust employee referral program – earn up to $500 per referral!Flexible scheduling, when availableTeam environmentTraining, managerial support and growth!Responsibilities:Utilizes various pieces of warehouse equipment to perform primary duties of loading, unloading, put away and picking.Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as type or product code.Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.Marks materials with identifying information.Opens boxes, crates, and other containers.Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.Uses computer to enter records.Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.Prepares parcels for mailing or shipping.Maintains inventory records.Ensure housekeeping standards are metEnsure warehouse security during business hoursDemonstrate good customer service skills with both internal and external customersComply with all applicable policies and proceduresOur Buford team has two shifts to support this busy operation:8:00 am - 5:00 pm1:00 pm - 10:00 pmThere is flexibility to find a schedule that works best for youQualifications:Interpersonal – Works well in a team environment; Keeps emotions under control.Teamwork - Contributes to building a positive team spirit.Business Acumen – Able to take and complete tasks with minimal supervisionDiversity - Demonstrates knowledge of EEO policy.Ethics - Works with integrity and ethically.Organizational Support - Completes tasks correctly and on time.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Previous experience with material handling equipment and certification required.Must be comfortable with physical demands of the role including operating in tight spaces and work in high placesStrong focus on safetyPhysical Demands:May also engage in substantial walking, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers.Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision.The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and rarely up to 70 and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
