Material Handler / Pallet BuilderThis role focuses on material handling, pallet building, and general warehouse support using hand tools, power tools, and RF scanners. You will help keep inventory organized, support shipping and receiving activities, and ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and efficient.ResponsibilitiesHandle materials throughout the warehouse, including moving, sorting, and organizing products and boxes.Build and repair pallets using appropriate hand tools and power tools to support safe storage and transport of materials.Pull orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring the correct items and quantities are prepared for shipment.Restock boxes and materials in designated areas to maintain inventory levels and support continuous production.Perform general labor and production tasks as needed to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations.Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.Use RF scanners to pick, pack, and track inventory and orders in the warehouse management system.Complete routine cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work area.Support basic maintenance and repairs related to pallets, equipment, and warehouse fixtures.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating tools and handling materials.Essential Skills1–2 years of recent experience in material handling, warehouse, or general labor roles.Proficiency in building and repairing pallets using hand tools and basic power tools.Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including loading, unloading, and verifying shipments.Ability to perform order pulling, picking, and packing tasks accurately and efficiently.Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.Capability to perform general cleaning and basic maintenance tasks in a warehouse or production environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and established procedures.Physical ability to stand, lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in production or manufacturing environments.Background in inventory control or stock management.Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and basic power tools.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.Reliable work ethic and consistent attendance.Why Work Here?Join a hands-on, team-oriented environment where your contributions directly support smooth warehouse and production operations. Work hours typically follow standard warehouse shifts, and attire should be practical and appropriate for a physical, industrial setting, including closed-toe shoes and clothing suitable for manual work.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
