Pharmacy Technician

This Pharmacy Technician opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. This individual will assist the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties.

Job duties/responsibilities include: assisting the Pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel; preparing intravenous solutions and admixtures; maintaining inventory of supplies and reordering them accordingly; processing records of medications and supplies dispensed to patients, computing charges and either entering them into the computer or forwarding them to Information Systems.

Qualifications: Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy & certified by PTCB. Hospital experience preferred.
