• Position: Part-Time Primary Care Physician (MD or DO) – Student Health Services
• Employment Type: Part-time, On-site
• Location: Newark, NJ 07102 – Student Health Clinic at a leading university
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,495 - $2,772
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shifts per Week: 3 (8-hour days)
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Setting: Student Health Services / Campus Health Clinic

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Current New Jersey physician license (MD or DO) with residency and board certification
• Active NJ CDS and DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Up-to-date titers and vaccinations as required by the clinic
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
• At least 1 year of clinical experience required (experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or college health is a plus)
• Strong interest in preventive medicine, adolescent medicine, and health education
• Excellent English communication skills — verbal and written
• Ability to physically assist patients when needed

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct primary medical care to students, including urgent care, preventive services, and chronic disease management
• Deliver office gynecology and reproductive health services, including contraception counseling, PrEP/PEP, and gender-affirming care
• Assess and manage mental health concerns in collaboration with campus mental health resources
• Evaluate and treat sports injuries and musculoskeletal complaints common to student populations
• Perform minor office procedures such as cyst removal and laceration repair
• Conduct physicals: sports exams, annual exams, and gynecological exams
• Document patient encounters in the EMR (Medicat) within 24 hours to ensure accurate campus health records
• Respond to student inquiries through the patient portal or phone in a timely manner
• Participate in outreach, vaccination clinics, TB testing clinics, and other campus health programs
• Collaborate with nurses, clinic staff, and the office manager to coordinate care and support clinic operations (triage, immunizations, referrals)
