Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient team. This role involves working with a diverse adult patient population, providing quality care in an outpatient setting located within a YMCA. The PTA will support various therapies focusing on pelvic health, lymphedema, and orthopedic treatments, while also being open to learning new manual correction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist in evaluations and treatment planning for patients with various diagnoses including back pain, neck pain, TMJ, vestibular disorders, pelvic floor issues, lymphedema, and balance/gait deficits.
• Deliver patient education on exercises and techniques to enhance recovery and mobility.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current PTA license in the state of Virginia.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new manual techniques.
• Experience in therapeutic exercise is preferred.
• Experience in specialties such as pelvic health and lymphedema is a plus, but not mandatory.
