Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years in psychiatric settings preferred 5 years License: CT-RN Certifications: Crisis Management Training Certification administered by CPI or equivalent, BLS Must-Have: Crisis Management Training Certification administered by CPI or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric settings. Description: The role involves providing care to geriatric adults with multiple medical comorbidities. Patients often require total care and may present with conditions such as dementia, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Experience in medical-surgical nursing is helpful but not required. Responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic groups and managing involuntary and voluntary patient statuses. This position may require the use of restraints and seclusion. Experience in geriatric and dementia care is strongly preferred. Candidates with a background in med/surg nursing will find the experience beneficial.
