About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70809!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Active state or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Travel experience required - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 4:1 - Experience with charting system McKesson Description: The Endoscopy Registered Nurse will work in a dynamic GI lab environment. This position requires floating to other departments if volume is low for preoperative and postoperative care. Nurses will be required to take call duties, including one full weekend per month and one night each week. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the nursing field. Experience with administering conscious sedation and airway management is essential. Skills required include proficiency in procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and sclerotherapy. Additionally, experience with recovery from conscious sedation and monitoring anesthesia care is necessary. The nurse will support a daily census of approximately 15 patients and manage patient care effectively. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and pharmacy. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility as needed.
