Tool & Die MakerEaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Tool & Die Maker. The hourly rate for this position is $34.61 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll DoPRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for maintaining all plant tooling which includes (but not limited to) molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures. The incumbent will ensure that all related standards with respect to cost, efficiency, personnel, and health and safety are maintained. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Operates standard machine shop tools and CNC controlled machinery to make tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, and machine parts to the blueprint specificationsPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures to maximize tooling life and minimize downtime.Assists Engineering in the design of tools, jigs, fixtures, molds, and machine partsMaintains existing and new blueprintsCreate and modify tooling designs using CAD/CAM software as requiredRead and interpret 3D models, engineering drawings, and GD&T specificationsProficient in the use of precision inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gages, Optical Comparator, CMM, and other quality measurement devices.Assists Molding Department with mold processing when applicableMaintains working knowledge of heat treating all tool steels and their characteristics for their proper useMaintains working knowledge of the Rockwell Hardness tester on ferrous and non-ferrous metalsMaintains a powered industrial truck license to move molds with forklift, crane, and other mechanical devicesFollows environmental regulations and waste disposal proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorshipMust have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institutionMinimum of 4 years experience operating CNC making toolsMust possess skills in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement toolsThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applications must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR.Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hoursAble to lift to 35 lbs. on a regular basis
