Transmission Line Engineer - Infrastructure

Job Details:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the development of transmission systems and infrastructure . This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality solutions to meet our clients' needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-voltage transmission lines and systems, including route selection, structure design, and conductor sizing.
Perform load flow studies, with steel/concrete structure and foundation design & analysis, and stability analyses to ensure the reliability and safety of transmission systems.
Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings for transmission projects.
Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
Analyze and troubleshoot existing transmission systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including NERC, FERC, and local codes.
Utilize advanced software tools (e.g., PLS-CADD, PSS/E, AutoCAD ) for system analysis and design.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related degree from an
Accredited program is required.
10+ years of experience in transmission engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
Experience with overhead and underground distribution systems is highly preferred.
Proficiency in transmission line design software such as PLS-CADD, AUTOCAD, M-FAD, LPILE analysis, or similar.
Ability to interpret boring log information, analyze structure calculations and design distribution
level lines
Strong understanding of power systems analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and stability studies.
