Duties Prepare and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and software-related technologies. Collaborate with clients to understand their inventions and draft patent applications. Conduct patentability and freedom‑to‑operate analyses. Communicate with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) regarding patent applications. Requirements 2+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution. Admission to the USPTO. Education Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics. Certifications USPTO registration. Skills Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and neural networks. Knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including 5G and 6G. Understanding of autonomous driving and RF circuitry. Proficiency in hardware and communications security, such as encryption and decryption.
