Job Overview

Voigts Motor freight Express is looking for a dependable, organized  Dispatcher to join our growing trucking division in Chicago.

This is a full-time daytime position focused on  Scheduling, driver and customer communication, paperwork, billing and data entry.  This is  not a load-board dispatch position. We are looking for someone who can help keep our day-to-day trucking operation organized, communicate effectively with drivers and customers, and support the administrative side of the operation as we continue to grow.

Transportation, trucking, logistics, or dispatch experience is preferred.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate daily driver, equipment, pickup, and delivery schedules
• Communicate with drivers regarding assignments, schedules, changes, and customer requirements
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding pickups, deliveries, and service updates
• Monitor daily operations and help resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and other service issues
• Prepare, review, and maintain transportation paperwork and records
• Collect and verify shipping and delivery documentation
• Enter load, driver, customer, billing, and other operational information accurately
• Prepare completed loads and documentation for billing
• Assist with invoicing and follow up on missing or incomplete paperwork
• Maintain organized electronic and paper records
• Coordinate with operations, safety, accounting, maintenance, and other departments as needed
• Help improve scheduling, communication, documentation, and administrative processes as the division grows

What We're Looking For

• Transportation, trucking, logistics, or dispatch experience  preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable with computers, email, spreadsheets, data entry, and learning transportation software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt when schedules and customer needs change
• Professional and calm approach to problem-solving
• Dependable attendance and follow-through
• Billing, invoicing, or transportation paperwork experience is a plus
