5+ Years of Commercial Construction Experience Required CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. We're looking for experienced professionals who want to build their careers with a company that values safety, quality, teamwork, and professionalism. Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama , with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee . We are seeking a candidate with 5 or more years of experience in commercial construction . While previous estimating experience is preferred, we are willing to teach estimating and earthwork to the right individual with a strong commercial construction background. Responsibilities Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans and specifications Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with project pricing Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations Develop bid proposals and project budgets Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and company leadership throughout the bidding process Maintain organized estimating files and documentation Assist with value engineering and budgeting during preconstruction Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction experience Experience working for a commercial general contractor preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent communication and computer skills Self-motivated with strong attention to detail Previous estimating experience is a plus but not required Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance Dental and vision insurance available $25,000 life insurance policy Short-term and long-term disability coverage 8 paid holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonuses Long-term career growth and advancement opportunities If you're looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing contractor and help shape the future of our Preconstruction Department, we'd like to hear from you.
