Southern Health Partners is seeking a licensed Medical Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician) to support patient care services at the Austin County Jail in Texas. This flexible opportunity is ideal for providers looking to maintain clinical involvement, supplement an existing practice, or continue serving patients in a low-hour commitment role.

Working alongside an experienced nursing team, you'll provide oversight, patient evaluations, and clinical support in a structured and professional healthcare environment.

Position Details

Location: Austin County Jail - TX
Schedule: Approximately 2 Hours Every Other Week (Flexible)
Role: Medical Provider (NP, PA, or MD)

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled on-site patient evaluations and treatment
• Provide clinical guidance and oversight to nursing staff
• Review and sign medical records, treatment plans, and physician orders
• Prescribe medications and coordinate outside referrals when appropriate
• Support quality patient care within established clinical protocols
• Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and compliance

Qualifications

• Active Texas license as an MD, NP, or PA
• Nurse Practitioners must maintain collaborating physician relationship if required by state regulations
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or correctional healthcare preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and facility security clearance
