Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist that will report directly to the Acquisitions Senior Manager, supporting multiple programs within the Advanced Product Solutions (APS) Raytheon business unit. The Principal Specialist will manage low volume and medium to high complexity subcontracts (domestic) and represent the Supply Chain organization at various levels on functional and cross functional teams to drive business success. In addition, the Principal Specialist serves as the focal point for communication between internal staff and supplier cross-functional organizations for all procurement activities.

 

What You Will Do:

• Negotiate and administer multiple subcontract types, to include but not limited to, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement, Time, and Materials, as well as development/R&D efforts.
• Evaluate, identify, and select suppliers that meet Raytheon requirements. Develop business partner relationship with suppliers.
• Work closely with Program Office representatives and Engineering to define and implement procurement strategies and develop subcontract Statements of Work.
• Solicit competitive and single/sole source proposals from prospective subcontractors, perform source selection analysis, and employ price and cost analysis techniques to make a fair and reasonable price determination.
• Monitor subcontractor performance metrics and recommend/implement corrective actions as necessary. Prepare subcontract documentation in accordance with established company, customer and government FAR and DFAR regulations.
  
   

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with reading drawing specifications.
• Experience with supplier management and leading formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow downs).
• Experience working within SAP software application.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

• Experience making presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
• Experience leading executive and program level supplier reviews

Remote : Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

 

The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $106,000. The salary range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills. 

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
