Events Producer

You'll produce Firecrawl's events: the monthly community series at SF HQ, private dinners for the labs and companies we want to work with, our presence at conferences, and the team offsites that keep a distributed team feeling like one. The concept comes from our Chief of Staff and the founders. Everything between the idea and a room that's full, on time, and on budget is yours.

You’ll report to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the Deputy Chief of Staff, who owns our workplaces and the operating layer around events. You’ll be based with us in San Francisco and travel for events.

Salary Range: $155,000–$174,000 USD/year

Equity Range: Competitive equity. Details shared during the process.

Location: San Francisco, CA (SF HQ). On-site, five days a week. Travel required for events.

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: 4+ years producing events end to end, or a body of work that makes the case

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States. We're not able to sponsor US visas right now, though that may change down the line.

We're a small team punching far above our weight, working out of SF HQ and our new Toronto Hub. Everyone here owns a real piece of the product and company, end to end, and runs it themselves. No hiding behind process or headcount.

This is a place for people who want to work at the frontier: an AI company building the infrastructure other AI companies run on, not one bolting AI onto an existing product. We move fast, go deep, and are building the tools superintelligence will rely on to gather data from the web.

What You’ll Do

• Produce every event end to end: venue, vendors, budget, timeline, run of show, guest list logistics, day‑of, and the debrief

• Run our recurring community series at SF HQ on a monthly cadence that gets better every month, not just repeated

• Produce private dinners and intimate gatherings for customers, prospects, and partners, where the details are the whole point

• Own our presence at conferences and industry events: activation, travel, shipping, staffing, and what people walk away remembering

• Plan and run team offsites: lodging, travel, meals, activities, and a schedule that makes the work days actually work

• Manage merch and brand objects from concept handoff through production and fulfillment

• Build the systems (budgets, vendor lists, checklists, timelines) so every event is easier than the last

• Track attendance, cost per attendee, and the follow-through that turns a good night into a relationship, and use it to decide what we do next

What We’re Looking For

• You’ve produced events end to end, from 20‑person dinners to 200‑person gatherings, and you can show the run of show, the budget, and what happened

• You’re calm at 6pm when the caterer is late and the speaker’s flight is delayed. You solve it and nobody in the room ever knows

• You’re obsessive about details: the lighting, the name cards, the playlist, where people stand when they walk in. You know those details are the experience

• You manage budgets and vendors like it’s your money. You negotiate, you track every dollar, and you know where to spend and where not to

• You work fast and lean, with a phone, a spreadsheet, and a vendor you trust, and you use AI tools to move faster

• You can take a creative brief from someone with strong taste and make it real without every detail spelled out

Backgrounds that often do well: in-house event producers at startups or developer tools companies, community and field marketing managers who owned production and not just strategy, hospitality and restaurant events people who moved into tech, theater and live production people who know what a run of show actually is.

What We’re NOT Looking For

• Planners who need an agency to execute

• Producers who treat every event like a template and don't notice when the room isn't working

• Anyone who thinks the event ends when the last guest leaves. The follow-through is the point

A Note On Pace

We operate at an absurd level of urgency because the window for what we’re building won't stay open forever. If that excites you, keep reading. If it doesn’t, no hard feelings, but this role probably isn’t for you.

Interview Process

Intro Chat (~25 min): A quick conversation to get to know each other before we go deep. We'll talk about what you've been producing, what drew you to Firecrawl, and what you're looking for in your next role. Time for your questions too.

Run of Show Chat (~45 min): We’ll give you a real event from our calendar and talk through how you'd produce it: venue, budget, timeline, vendors, day‑of, and how you’d know it worked. Come ready to think out loud. We care how you build the plan, not whether you know our world yet.

Founder Chat (~25 min): Culture, pace, ownership, and how you like to work. Time for your questions too.

Paid Work Trial (~40 Hours): Produce something real with us: a piece of an upcoming event or a small one end to end, paid at a contractor rate. It's the truest signal for both sides. You see what making things at Firecrawl actually feels like, and we see how you work. We'll flex around your current commitments.
