Prep Cook
Yume Sushi Bar - Los Angeles
Yume Sushi Bar is looking for reliable and hardworking Prep Cooks to join our Central Kitchen team.
This position is responsible for preparing ingredients used across all of our restaurant locations, including sauces, vegetables, garnishes, and other kitchen essentials. The Central Kitchen plays a critical role in supporting our restaurants and maintaining consistent quality throughout the company.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys kitchen work, takes pride in organization and consistency, and is looking for a daytime position with a stable schedule.
Sushi experience is not required. We’re looking for candidates who are comfortable using knives, have some kitchen or cooking experience, and are eager to learn. If you’re looking for a daytime kitchen position and enjoy working in a team environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Both full time and part time positions are available.
What We’re Looking For:
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized• Reliable, punctual, and team oriented• Attention to detail and consistency• Comfortable using kitchen knives safely and efficiently• Previous kitchen, prep cook, or cooking experience preferred• Ability to follow recipes and preparation procedures
Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare sauces, vegetables, garnishes, and other ingredients• Follow recipes and company preparation standards• Portion, label, and organize products for restaurant use• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory• Support the Central Kitchen team as needed
Schedule:
• Primarily morning and daytime shifts• Work is typically completed by late afternoon or early evening• Full time and part time opportunities available
