Electrician Maintenance

Satellite Services, Inc. is looking for Electrician, Maintenance technicians to assist with our contract with Grissom Joint Air Reserve Base, IN. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt CBA position to start August 1, 2026. The Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves installing or repairing a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. All duties must be performed within the specified safety regulations of the company and the position. May perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements This position requires the individual to work both inside and outside, sometimes in inclement weather conditions. Ability to lift 50lbs and in some instances more; capable of performing both pushing and pulling motions and other repetitive motions. Requires lifting, prolonged sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and ability to work in cramped/confined spaces. In addition, the use of ladders may be required, which includes the ability to use/carry ladders, lift and climb ladders of up to 30ft. in length. Required Job Qualifications HS Diploma or Equivalent Security Clearance (or ability to obtain upon hire) Desired Job Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other related field of study Three to five years in electrical maintenance and repair in an industrial setting is preferred Master Electrician License is a plus Necessary Licenses or Certifications Valid Indiana State Electrician's License Work Schedule Full-Time (40 hours per week) Position may include some shift work and Saturdays and Sundays Essential Personnel This position is designated as essential.
