Job Purpose: The HVAC Technician at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of commercial HVAC systems within our retail stores. This role is crucial in maintaining a comfortable environment for both customers and staff by installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems in retail stores. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of HVAC systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption. Respond promptly to service calls and provide effective solutions. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all HVAC systems. Support a comfortable environment for customers and staff through effective HVAC management. Travel between locations as needed to provide timely support and maintenance. Work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet the demands of the business.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Education: Completion of an accredited HVAC technical or trade school program preferred Associate degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field a plus Required Experience: 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC systems Knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC controls Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations Required Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Time management and organizational skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
