Required Skills & Experience
High School Diploma or GEDExperience in construction or any outdoor work
Clean background and motor vehicle report and comfortable with drug screening
Good communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel/overall computer skills Nice to Have Skills & Experience ACI or DOT Earthwork certification
Experience with soil testing
Experience conducting nuclear gauge testing in the field
Experience doing drive tubes Job Description As a SoilTechnician, you'll spend most of your day in the field of testing and inspecting construction sites to ensure work is completed according to project specifications. Each morning, you'll meet with your manager, travel to local job sites (typically within 1-2 hours of Charlotte, NC), and perform soil sampling, density testing, moisture testing, and compaction evaluations. You'll document results, communicate findings to project managers and construction teams, and help ensure sites are ready for the next phase of construction. The company's vehicle, travel time, and training are provided, and you'll work either at a single project site or visit multiple locations throughout the day.
