What You'll Do: Assist in surgical procedures as a scrub and circulating nurse Maintain a sterile field and follow OR protocols Anticipate surgeon needs and provide instruments and supplies—perform and verify sponge, needle, and instrument counts Assess & respond to patient needs—both physical & psychosocial—before, during, and after surgical procedures Implement individualized care plans in accordance with hospital policies, Physician directives, and patient/family preferences Maintain accurate & timely documentation using electronic health records Participate in on-call rotation and team-based care Requirements What We're Looking For: Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Iowa Experience: 2+ years surgical or scrub experience preferred Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and Mandatory Reporting Skills: Strong communication & teamwork skills Competency: Ability to provide age-appropriate care in the operating room setting Summary Selected applicant will be required to complete a drug test, immunizations, vaccinations, background check and other health tests. #J-18808-Ljbffr Theuniversityunion
