IT Support Technician

Petersburg, United States | Posted on 08/10/2026 We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Chromebook Support Technician to assist with the setup, configuration, and refreshing of Chromebooks used in the education space. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in educational technology support. Contract-to-Hire Location: Petersburg, VA Arrangement: 100% onsite (two locations near each other) Key Responsibilities Unbox, inventory, and prepare Chromebooks for deployment. Perform system refreshes, updates, and basic troubleshooting. Configure devices according to district standards and policies. Assist with labeling, asset tagging, and organizing devices. Maintain accurate records of device status and deployment progress. Collaborate with IT staff and school personnel to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Basic understanding of technology and computer hardware. Experience with Google Chromebooks is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move boxes/devices as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
