Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care in labor and delivery units, supporting mothers through childbirth and postpartum recovery. Ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby during clinical procedures and emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans for labor and delivery.
  
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and monitor fetal and maternal health.
  
• Prepare and assist in C-sections, NICU, or pediatric procedures as needed.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and interventions.
  
• Ensure compliance with ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications and hospital policies.
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold an active RN license and valid licensure within the state.
  
• Possess minimum required certifications: ACLS, NRP, and BLS.
  
• Demonstrate experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and circulation care.
  
• Prefer candidates with NICU, pediatric, or surgical scrubbing experience.
  
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
