Senior Structural Engineer
As a senior structural engineer, you will:
Provide structural expertise for a wide range of projects of military and civil works projects under construction.
Design structures made of various materials such as reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber, aluminum, or other structural materials for various complex, major civil and military works projects.
Review preliminary and final plans developed by architect-engineer for technical sufficiency, accuracy of design features, engineering details and conformance to Corps of Engineers agency standards.
Review shop drawings of structural steel, reinforced concrete and timber elements for conformity to contract requirements.
Perform field investigations to gain information for planning and design, to investigate field problems, to check construction, and to assist construction personnel in solving construction problems.
Utilize computer aided design (CADD) in the process of developing design documents.
