Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Municipal Law Attorney to join its Houston, Texas office. The ideal candidate will focus on municipal law, real estate, and housing-related matters. Duties Advise public clients on municipal governance, regulatory compliance, land use, zoning, and public policy issues. Handle complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development. Counsel clients on housing law matters, including affordable housing and related regulatory frameworks. Draft, negotiate, and analyze legal documents with precision. Manage legal matters independently and efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships. Requirements Minimum of eight years of legal experience. Licensed to practice law in Texas. Strong foundation in municipal law and real estate transactions. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Ability to manage matters independently. Portable book of business strongly preferred. Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in practice growth. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Texas.
