Sonographer - Womens Care (PRN)

Sonographer
Performs sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, educating patients regarding procedures, preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications, monitoring patient condition, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and performing imaging procedures.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program, registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certification in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), state licensure if required by law, and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
