The Lilypad Garden & Farm School is looking for a highly qualified, energetic teacher to love, nurture, and care for our preschool classes. We're much more than daycare. We offer a developmentally appropriate early childhood learning experience focused on teaching children practical and academic skills that prepare them for the school years ahead. Full time shift available 9-6.

Duties:

• Plan for or fill in to teach children in small-group and large-group settings
• Use ongoing assessments to provide targeted instruction based on each child's current academic ability (18 months and older)
• Teach in a fun, engaging way using songs, interactive games, and hands-on activities
• Maintain compliance with Childcare Licensing health and safety standards
• Help keep the classroom clean, safe, and welcoming
• Provide a loving and nurturing environment
• Communicate effectively with parents about the wellbeing and care of their child through frequent verbal and electronic updates

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
• Proven classroom management skills with a focus on early childhood education techniques
• Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to handle child supervision responsibly while demonstrating patience and empathy
• Familiarity with daycare center operations, preschool routines, and daycare experience preferred
• Experience in behavior management strategies tailored for young children
• Know and comply with state Minimum Standards

Requirements:

• Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety protocols
• Must be willing to pass a background check
• Minimum 2 years experience in a licensed facility
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
