Provide leadership by coordinating and delegating patient care, and act as supervisor when absent. Manage daily patient‑care operations, maintain high‑quality cost‑effective services, and identify and implement cost‑saving ideas. Create an environment that promotes staff empowerment and innovation; solve problems as needed. Collaborate with physicians and health‑care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Resolve complex unit situations, including patient complaints and crises. Research and recommend short- and long‑term strategies to meet patient‑care needs; assist in goal attainment. Represent UnityPoint Health professionally, promote positive interpersonal relations. Evaluate and provide feedback on staff performance; use personnel policies fairly and consistently. Evaluate sonograms for technical quality; understand correct machine settings to produce accurate images. Perform equipment calibrations and adjustments; select technical factors and imaging modes.
