The Role

IMG is redefining how luxury real estate is experienced online, and this role sits at the center of that shift. The Social Media Associate turns our staged interiors and design work into AI-enhanced video content; populating empty rooms with photorealistic AI renderings so buyers can picture themselves in the space.  This role will translate IMG’s design craftsmanship into scroll-stopping, platform-native storytelling. This is an AI-first content role: you'll partner closely with the staging, design, and PR/marketing teams to keep IMG's social presence as elevated, consistent, and forward-leaning as the properties we stage. Success looks like a fast-moving, high-volume content engine that never sacrifices brand standard for speed.

Responsibilities

Social Media & Community Management

• Help manage and engage with our growing Instagram community of 178K+ followers
• Respond to comments, direct messages, and inquiries while maintaining IMG's brand voice
• Help keep our social media presence active, engaging, and connected with our audience
• Support daily social media operations and content planning

Content Creation & Reels

• Assist with brainstorming creative concepts and editing Instagram Reels, Stories, and other social media content
• Collaborate with our marketing team to bring fresh ideas and trending content to life

Luxury Events & Experiences

• Get a behind-the-scenes look at exclusive IMG events hosted in luxury penthouses, townhouses, and some of NYC's most exceptional properties
• Assist with event preparation, guest check-in, welcoming attendees, and event coordination
• Help ensure a seamless guest experience and smooth event execution
• Capture event highlights and behind-the-scenes moments for social media

E-commerce

• Assist with establishing and managing IMG's Amazon Storefront, featuring curated home and design finds
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance the storefront's visual presentation and shopping experience

Qualifications

Required

• Current college student studying Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.
• A love of social media and a strong understanding of what makes content engaging.
• Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute new ideas.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Instagram, CapCut, Canva, or similar content creation and editing platforms.

Preferred

• Video editing skills and experience creating social media content
• Previous experience managing or updating an Amazon Storefront
• An interest in luxury real estate, interior design, and digital marketing

 

This is an unpaid internship opportunity that is only open to current students. The internship may be able to satisfy course credit if approved by the student's institution of learning.
