CNC Laser Cutting Technician — Lancaster, SC
Pay: $17–$21/hour (DOE) | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Minimum Requirement: 1+ year of laser operator experience
About the roleStep into a hands-on role where precision matters. You’ll run CNC laser equipment to produce quality parts, keep production flowing, and collaborate with a team that values craftsmanship and safety.
A day in the life- Start up and operate laser cutting machines; monitor performance and adjust parameters for optimal results
- Set up jobs, load/unload material safely, and verify correct material type and thickness
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure dimensions and tolerances are met
- Inspect cut quality and part accuracy; perform in-process quality checks
- Troubleshoot routine issues and make basic machine adjustments
- Follow manufacturing and safety procedures throughout each run
- Keep your cell and surrounding area clean, orderly, and ready for the next job
- 1+ year operating laser cutting equipment
- Blueprint literacy and solid mechanical/technical aptitude
- Knowledge of common metals/materials and thickness ranges
- Understanding of laser cutting and fabrication fundamentals
- Experience with CNC-controlled equipment (preferred)
- Ability to learn different laser platforms and controls
No specific laser brand experience required — experience with other laser systems or CNC machinery is welcome.
